Waitomo Glow Worm Caves New Zealand - Guided Tour

At Waitomo an experienced guide will deliver an informative commentary about formations and history of the area. The highlight is a boat trip through the amazing glow-worm grotto. Our Waitomo Caves Tours allow options for Black Water Rafting Waitomo and other Waitomo adventures.

Specific points of interest on your journey

On our journey to Hobbiton we cross over the Waikato River, view the Arapuni Dam and walk over the swing bridge(optional), and visit Waihau walkway and Blue Spring - one of the world's purest water sources. Water gushes out of the spring at a rate 42 cubic meters per minutes(9,240 gallons per minute) at a constant temperature of 11degrees. The walk takes 90 minutes each way - 10.4kms distance. Optional / time permitting.

Hobbiton Tours at the Hobbiton Movie Set

Hobbiton is a rural property that has served as the movie set for all Peter Jacksons "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" films. Initially developed in 1999 over approximately 50 acres of farmland.

The set was rebuilt in 2011 for the feature film "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey". Our Hobbiton Tours from Rotorua are very popular as we show you many other attractions along the way.

Hobbiton has been extensively refurbished over the last couple of years (most recently, The Green Dragon Inn.) and replicates the author’s original vision.

Te Puia Rotorua: Indigenous evening experience

When you visit Te Puia Rotorua at night you enjoy an in-depth experience of the customs and traditions of Maori, with a traditional powhiri (welcoming ceremony), a warrior's challenge, and full Kapa Haka (performing arts) concert. Within Te Puia, you will have a tour fully guided by local Maori.
