Rotorua Geothermal, Lakes, City and St Faiths Church in Ohinemutu Village.

Duration: 8hrs approx.
Pickup: 8.30am-Return: 4.30pm

Visit Waiotapu Geothermal Wonderland reserve, and see the famous Lady Knox Geyser erupt at 10:15am.
See Rotorua’s aquatic and scenic paradises, of Lakes Tarawera,Tikitapu (Blue lake), Rotokakahi (Green Lake), and Okareka.
Take in views of Mt Tarawera, which erupted in1886.
*Lunch optional at Tarawera’s Landing Cafe.
Lake Okareka wetland board-walk, also optional.

Then onto Ohinemutu Village, Rotorua’s most historic area, Kuirau Park, site of the city’s most recent thermal eruption, see bubbling mud and steam, drive through Government Gardens to Lake Rotorua’s Sulphur Point and bird sanctuary.

Rotorua Geothermal, Culture, Geysers, Maori Villages and Museum

Duration: 8hrs approx.
Pickup: 9am-Return: 4.30pm to 5pm

Visit Kuirau Park, near CBD, see bubbling mud and steam, site of our most recent thermal eruption, Te Puia, Whakawarewa, home to world famous Pohutu geyser, Maori Marae (village) Rotowhino, Rotorua Museum & Blue Baths described, as one of NZ’s loved buildings, Ohinemutu Village, visit St Faith Church, Hinemoa Point, love story to be told here.

* An option is to take in an evening cultural performance and Hangi (meal cooked in the ground by steam) either at Mitai or Te Puia Maori Villages, arrangements can be made prior to your drop-off time approx. 4.30 and 5pm

More than happy to tranfer to cultural venue and return you to your hotel after evening show.

You travel to Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland, Aratiatia Hydro dam and Rapids, Huka Falls, Wairakei geothermal steam fields and Lake Taupo.

Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland and Waimangu Volcanic Valley

Duration: 8hrs approx.

We drive along the edge of the Kaingaroa Forest to Wai - O - Tapu Geothermal Wonderland, here we see the Lady Knox geyser erupt at 10.15am.

*Your lunch could be either at Wai-O-Tapu or prior to walking in the Waimangu Valley

The Waimangu Volcanic Valley (an easy downhill jaunt) where you will see the Echo Crater, Frying Pan Lake (the world’s largest hot water spring) and Inferno Crater prior to a short boat ride past where the pink white Terraces once stood after the Tarawera eruption of 1886.The relaxing walk takes us down through the magical wonders and thermal activity of this valley. A free shuttle bus returns us back to the ticket office where your journey begins.

Rotorua to Waitomo Glowworm Caves & Farm Tour

Duration: 8hrs approx.
Pickup: 8:30am-Return: 4:30-5pm


There are number of caves at Waitomo and there is something for everyone.

Firstly, Footwhistle Glowworm Cave, this tour includes, a 50-metre bush walk through streams and waterfalls.
Fantastic limestone formations, with stalactites and stalagmites, this is Waitomo’s only candle-lit cave.
Plus Tube It is an option in this cave, so have some fun and thrills.

Jump off the waterfall, zoom down their hydro-slide or for those who are keen, cave crawl on or up a hidden waterfall.
Your cave tubing,  (black-water) rafting trip will take you through the amazing glowworm displays you will ever see.

Secondly, Roseland’s, this tour includes, a Hole in one Golf Challenge where you can win $1000.00. A farm visit where all the animals are pets and will come to the fence when called, an Angora Rabbit exhibition showing them being sheared and how their wool is weaved.

Pickup Auckland to Waitomo, Rotorua, Tauranga, Return to Auckland

Suggestion:


Day1:

Visit Waitomo, see Glowworm Caves onto a Farm Visit, see Angora rabbits being sheared for their wool, try the 1 hole golf challenge.

On the journey back to Rotorua we cross over Waikato River view the Arapuni Dam and walk over the swing bridge, next visit Wiahau stream, one of the worlds purest water sauces, water gushes out of the spring at a rate 42 cubic meters per minute. (5.2 km walk optional.

Day2:

Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland, see Lady Knox Geyser erupt at 10.15am, next visit Te Puia, Maori Arts Crafts Institute, the premier Maori Cultural Centre, the thermal valley, guided tours seeing geysers, mud pools, next a visit to the beautiful Lakes in our region and on to the Redwood Forest ending our day in Rotorua city and the Government Gardens.


Day3:

Visit Waimangu Valley, walk the downhill trails, Boat cruise on Lake Rotomahana, (45 minutes optional) where the Pink and White terraces once were, bus returns for uphill journey to kiosk, then travel the scenic route north around Lake Rotorua to the Kaituna River waterfall, you may get opportunity to see some rafters. Next stop Te Puke’s very famous 360 Kiwi Fruit orchard, where you are shown vines that produce the furry brown fruit, and learn the cycles of the vines to harvest, here also fruit can be tasted along with Kiwi Wine Liqueurs and kiwifruit ice-cream from the Café and shop. Then we follow the East Coast to Mt Maunganui, a very popular surf beach.  Then we travel up and over the Kaimai Ranges, stopping at Clarence Falls, then onto the Kaimai lookout where there are panoramic views over looking the Hauraki plains. Next to Waharoa, and our final stop at the Kaimai Cheese Factory before our travel back to Auckland.

Cruise Ship Tour from the Port of Tauranga to Rotorua

Pick up and drop offs to coincide with ships arrival and departures

Travel: leaving the ship, along Pilot Bay around to Ocean Beach, the Pacific Coast of Mt- Maunganui, before going inland, to stop at Te Puke’s very famous 360 Kiwi Fruit orchard, where you are shown vines that produce the furry brown fruit and learn the cycles of the vines to harvest, here also fruit can be tasted along with Kiwi Wine Liqueurs and kiwifruit ice-cream from the Café and shop.

Then we pass the KaitunaRiver, and waterfall, past Lake Rotoiti over the Ohau Channel Bridge, onto to Te Puia Maori Cultural Centre where you will view the world famous Pohutu geyser, bubbling mud pools, Kiwi house, where we can view our native flightless bird.

Maori cultural demonstrations, weaving, and carving, traditional action songs, and see the famous Haka performed.

After Te Puia we travel along the “golden mile of accommodation” to the city, through to Government Gardens, The Museum of Art  & History, Blue Baths, TeRunanga Tea House, Band Rotunda, Rachael Springs, and the Totara Gates, erected in the early1900s and then we take a drive along the waterfront of Lake Rotorua.
*For lunch there are number of options, a café lunch, a pub meal, your choice to make!!

We will return to the port of Tauranga, and show some other scenic attractions, of the Rotorua area on the way.

Wai-O-Tapu-Orakei Korako-Lake Taupo

Duration: 8hrs approx.
Pickup: 8:00am-Return: 4:30-5pm


Travel to Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland, and see Lady Knox Geyser erupt at 10.15am.
Then we travel to Orakei Korako to hop on the Jet-Boat Thermal Safari, voted #1 Best Activity In Rotorua (2.5-3hrs duration)   

Next we travel to Aratiatia Rapids, then onto Huka Falls. Lake Taupo  (the size of Singapore) is our next stop, where a late lunch* can be had. Time permitting we can see the Craters of the Moon on the return journey to Rotorua.

This is a full day of magnificent river beauty, mixed with some amazing volcanic activity.
